Groovin on Gramatan 2007
The Fleetwood Neighborhood Association presented the annual Groovin' on Gramatan Street Fair. Visitors enjoyed a day of food, fun, and shopping to commemorate the end of summer in Mount Vernon. Gramatan Avenue was an impromptu reunion, as I met up with so many people who I have written about over the past year. It was a super hot day outside, but I arrived early enough to make my way to almost every table along the way. I loved the street fair, especially seeing the diversity of the faces in the crowd, reflective of the true cosmopolitan nature of this city. It was a great event.
